Luke 9:23-25 ~ And He was saying to them all, “If anyone wishes to come after Me, he must deny himself, and take up his cross daily and follow Me. For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake, he is the one who will save it. For what is a man profited if he gains the whole world, and loses or forfeits himself? “
I was walking around the farm yesterday and walked up to one of the areas where the pigs are located. I noticed most of the pigs were focusing on eating, but some stopped eating to come over to the fence. I chuckled as they snorted and grunted, with curious noses sniffing in the air. I heard a few squeals as more curious pigs came outside to see what was going on. This is definitely something new for this “city girl” to see (and smell . . LOL).
The pigs focus on their next bite of food, or something new in their environment; they live in their “own little world” of seeking to take care of themselves. What they don’t know? The fatter they get as they eat, the sooner they will be shipped off to become bacon on somebody’s table. Yes, they seek to save their life and they WILL lose it.
What came to mind, as I was looking at the pigs is this:
Sometimes we professing Christians are like those pigs. We get so focused on our life, our wishes, our wants, our needs, etc., that we forget the Kingdom of Heaven and our Eternal Destination. We forget to spend time with the LORD, waiting upon Him and seeking HIS will for our life in all areas of our life.
We may snort and grunt when things don’t go the way we would like them to go. We may get nosy at what others may be doing and may even gossip about what we find out; we squeal like pigs with itching ears . . . spreading the dirt of sin committed by or done to another person . . . Gossip actually partners us with the demonic forces. We may try to present ourselves in the best light possible, to be “acceptable” to others. . It’s trying to “save our life” in the eyes of man. We may get so caught up in this world . . . We forget this simple truth:
THE HEAVENLY FATHER IS IN CONTROL; HE KNOWS AND SEES EVERYTHING!!!
I pondered the pig analogy quite a bit before writing this post, while reflecting on many of the things the Holy Spirit has revealed about the times we are in. I felt pain in my heart, with tears rising up knowing most professing Christians truly are not aware of the times we are now living. Furthermore, most people will not be spiritually ready for the righteous judgements of the LORD that are coming upon this earth . . DURING OUR LIFETIME!!!
I pray we EACH take time to seek the LORD with ALL of our heart, mind soul and strength. That we will submit to the leading of the Holy Spirit for our life. That we will repent and turn from our wicked ways. That we will forgive ALL who have sinned against us so we can be ready for what’s unfolding on this earth and for the return of LORD Jesus Christ. . . Yehshua, Our KING.
For those who chose their will, instead of the Heavenly Father’s will for your life . . . This is for you:
REPENT AND TURN BACK TO THE LORD WITH ALL OF YOUR HEART!!!!
Hear the Word of the LORD, from the Written Word:
Hosea 4:6-10 ~
“MY PEOPLE ARE DESTROYED FOR LACK OF KNOWLEDGE.
Because you have rejected knowledge,
I also will reject you from being My priest.
Since you have forgotten the law of your God,
I also will forget your children.
The more they multiplied, the more they sinned against Me;
I will change their glory into shame.
They feed on the sin of My people
And direct their desire toward their iniquity.
And it will be, like people, like priest;
So I will punish them for their ways
And repay them for their deeds.
They will eat, but not have enough;
They will play the harlot, but not increase,
Because they have stopped giving heed to the Lord.“

I suppose it’s a good example of “you get what you pay for”. Currently “free” is all I can afford, but THANK YOU JESUS, I’m able to do this at all.
