Philippians 3:18-20 ~
“For many walk, of whom I often told you, and now tell you even weeping, that they are enemies of the cross of Christ, whose end is destruction, whose god is their appetite, and whose glory is in their shame, who set their minds on earthly things. For our citizenship is in heaven, from which also we eagerly wait for a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ; who will transform the body of our humble state into conformity with the body of His glory, by the exertion of the power that He has even to subject all things to Himself.”
The nature of humanity is generally to focus on what we see in the “here and now”. I know I can get caught up in that, especially being a “city girl” continuously adjusting to a farm environment. Some days I do better than others.
I truly enjoy the cats, the chickens and the baby chicks. . . BUT, the stench of pigs, the dust, dirt and grim. . . No, not so much. It’s an EXCELLENT reminder that Heaven is my Home, not this fallen earth. There won’t be any changes on this planet until the return of Our LORD and Savior Jesus Christ . . . Yeshua, THE Messiah. SO, with God’s grace, I will choose to rejoice that I have this continuous reminder here on the farm:
HEAVEN IS MY TRUE HOME
The following Scripture verses are a good reminder for me:
Philippians 4:4-8 ~
“Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice! Let your gentle spirit be known to all men. The Lord is near. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things.”
Here is a worship song from Brian Doerksen, “Whatever is True”
ANY ADS LOCATED ON MY BLOG POSTS ARE NOT MY CHOICE, NOR DO I ENDORSE ANY OF THE THEM. . . I have a free account from WordPress, which may place ads of their choosing on my posts. I suppose it’s a good example of “you get what you pay for”. Currently “free” is all I can afford, but THANK YOU JESUS, I’m able to do this at all.
